Whitehorse International Airport - Parking Lot Improvements

Improvements to the airport parking lot continue throughout this summer:

  • To increase accessible parking stalls.
  • To expand the paved parking area to meet an increased demand on vehicle stalls.
  • To construct a safe and formal location for tour buses and shuttle vans to drop off, and pick up passengers.
  • To develop, after construction, a safer procedure for Taxi passenger drop off and pick up.
  • Ease of access between the terminal building and the parking lot.

The road to the drop off area in front of the Air Terminal Building is temporarily closed.

Signs indicate traffic re-routing through the parking area. 

There is a temporary pedestrian crosswalk from the parking area to the terminal building, available 24 hours a day.

Parking spaces are limited. If possible, leave your vehicle at home and find alternate transportation to the airport. Vehicles parked illegally, or on 'no parking" identified areas will be towed.

The Department of Highways & Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciates the public's patience and understanding.
