Anatomy of our Airport

Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport has seen many changes during the 2009 season. A record breaking 250,000 passengers handled by our facility traveled through major construction zones to make their flights. Our new International Wing is well on its way to completion. This new addition will not only streamline international travelers experience with Canada Border Services Agency and meet requirements for transiting passengers; it will also enhance our ability to handle multiple/simultaneous domestic flight arrivals and departures.

Pay parking is now in effect in the parking lot. Acquire a parking ticket from the dispensing machine at the gate entrance. Please park in designated areas only. Drive safely and watch for pedestrians. Validate and pay the fee at kiosks located inside the terminal building waiting area. Payment may be made with cash or credit card. If you validate your parking ticket at one of the terminal building kiosks, you will have 30 minutes grace to exit the parking lot. Payment may also be made at the exit gates; however, the exit gates accept only credit card payments. Parking fees are $1.50 per day. Remember, the first hour of parking is free!
