| Service Suppliers | Businesses that provide services which support program delivery in departments. Fields include custodial, maintenance and repairs, rental of equipment and buildings, etc. |
| Suppliers of Goods (Vendors) | Businesses that sell products for use within government programs, i.e. supplies, furniture and equipment. Contact Acquisition Services to ensure all goods are registered. |

The Contract Regulations allow for contracting authorities to pre-qualify bidders or proponents before issuing a tender. Such 'qualified source lists' can be valid up to one year.
The contracting authority can not add the name of a bidder or proponent to qualified source lists except through the evaluation and acceptance of the proponent's qualifications submitted in response to the request for a qualified source list.
