Yukon filmmakers earn international acclaim

 

Three Yukon filmmakers, who recieve support from the Yukon government's Film & Sound Commission, have recieved impressive awards and nominations from across North America. Read the news release.

Cycle to Walk launched in Whitehorse

 

Ramesh Ferris's campaign to raise money and awareness for the global eradication of polio was officially launched in Whitehorse on Thursday, April 10.

After a send off ceremony with friends and supporters in his home town, Ramesh is beginning to hand-cycle across Canada, starting in Victoria, BC.

Premier Dennis Fentie and other dignitaries met Ramesh at the ceremony before he cycled to the airport.
