Yukon and Vuntut Gwitchin approve Land Use Plan

Yukon Premier Dennis Fentie and Vuntut Gwitchin Chief Joe Linklater approve of the North Yukon Regional Land Use Plan.

Premier Dennis Fentie and Vuntut Gwitchin Chief Joe Linklater mark a milestone in land claims implementation as they sign the approval of the North Yukon Regional Land Use Plan at a community ceremony in Old Crow.

The North Yukon Regional Land Use Plan will guide the Government of Yukon and the Vuntut Gwitchin Government in managing their lands and resources in a cooperative manner.

Government of Yukon Premier Dennis Fentie and First Nation of Nacho N’yak Dun Chief Simon Mervyn sign an Intergovernmental Relations Accord

Government of Yukon Premier Dennis Fentie and First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun Chief Simon Mervyn signed an Intergovernmental Relations Accord at the Na-Cho Nyäk Dun General Assembly in Mayo.

The accord sets the stage for an enhanced working relationship between Yukon government and the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun .
