Premier Fentie Announces Beginning Of Community Tour

WHITEHORSE – Premier Dennis Fentie and his Cabinet colleagues will soon be visiting Yukon communities on the fall Premier's Community Tour.

"I encourage Yukoners to come and participate," Fentie said. "We want to hear your ideas to help us deliver programs and services that best meet the needs of Yukoners and their families."

The Premier's Community Tour is an opportunity to talk about issues that are important to Yukoners and communities. The premier and his colleagues will also deliver news about the Yukon government’s activities and programs.

"The Yukon government is working hard to make improvements in our communities. When we visit your community, please let us know what matters to you – we are there to listen," Fentie added. "Your attendance and participation will help us better understand what’s important to you and your neighbours."

Since re-election last fall, the government has continued the work of building a healthy and prosperous future for Yukoners, based on four key commitments:

  • to achieve a better quality of life for Yukoners;
  • to protect and preserve our environment and wildlife;
  • to promote a  strong, diversified private-sector economy; and
