Premier Announces Appointment To Electoral District Boundaries Commission

WHITEHORSE - Premier Dennis Fentie today announced the appointment of Dan Lang to the Electoral District Boundaries Commission.

The Commissioner in Executive Council appointed Lang as a member of the Commission effective immediately.  This appointment fills a vacancy left by the resignation of Doug Phillips, who was recently sworn-in as Administrator of Yukon.

Lang was nominated as the Yukon Party's representative and he joins Commission Chair Mr. Justice Leigh Gower, members Ione Christensen (Liberal Party), Dave Hobbis (New Democratic Party) and Chief Electoral Officer Jo-Ann Waugh, whose appointments were effective April 9, 2007.
