WHITEHORSE - The Yukon government announces ratification of a renewed collective agreement with the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC).
The three-year deal is effective from January 01, 2007 and expires on December 31, 2009. The agreement calls for a nine percent increase over three years. Acting pay will be expanded and increased, and stand-by pay improved. Benefits will be provided to auxiliary on call employees who are selected to work in designated positions.
"The parties worked hard to come to this agreement," Glenn Hart, minister responsible for the Public Service Commission, said. "We are pleased to be moving forward in a spirit of cooperation."
The contract covers bargaining unit employees employed under the Public Service Act.
