Government Of Yukon To Assist College, Hospital In Addressing Pension Plan Shortfalls
WHITEHORSE - The Yukon government will work with Yukon College and the Yukon Hospital Corp. to address identified pension plan shortfalls within the two organizations, Premier and Finance Minister Dennis Fentie says.
"We've been approached by both the college and the hospital to help them address some serious deficits in their pension funding," Fentie said. "We want to assure employees that we will be working closely with both organizations to preserve the integrity of their respective pension plans."
The government has agreed to sit down with both to help them find a solution to their problem.
