Government of Yukon hosts foreign diplomat tour

Ambassadors and Consuls General representing countries from around the world arrived in Yukon today to learn about the cultural and economic features of the territory. The foreign diplomat tour will be in Whitehorse and Dawson on September 18 to 19, 2017.

Premier Sandy Silver and Minister of Tourism and Culture Jeanie Dendys are hosting the group, which includes visitors from 13 countries. The tour will offer an overview of First Nations governance in Yukon, highlights of Yukon’s tourism and mineral industries, a visit to the Whitehorse Hydro Plant and a luncheon with business chambers.

“Hosting foreign diplomats is an incredible opportunity to showcase Yukon’s investment, tourism and development possibilities to an international audience.
