Premier brings Yukon priorities to Washington, DC

Yukon Premier Sandy Silver has completed a successful trip to Washington, DC. As chair of the Council of the Federation, Premier Silver lead a delegation of seven premiers.

In addition to his role as chair, Premier Silver met with U.S. leaders about issues crucial to Yukoners around the environment and infrastructure.

The premier had valuable discussions about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Yukon’s commitment to maintaining balance between environment and economy, working with First Nations, funding challenges related to Shakwak, and the importance of having safe and reliable infrastructure linking Alaska, Yukon and the rest of North America.
