Yukon Housing Corporation seeks proposals to support the Housing Action Plan

WHITEHORSE—The Yukon Housing Corporation has issued four requests for proposals (RFPs) to implement the Housing Action Plan approved by Cabinet in May 2015.

“We are following up on key priorities identified in the Housing Action Plan,” Minister responsible for Yukon Housing Stacey Hassard said. “We need to gather better data on issues related to housing such as the present status and quality of Yukon’s housing programs and stock, rental market data, home ownership, and new housing start statistics, in order to provide services best suited to Yukoners’ needs.”

The Housing Action Plan implementation committee recommended the allocation of $240,000 to support implementation contracts. These four RFPs are seeking:

  • data gathering and compilation services;
  • identification of appropriate housing education programs;
  • communication of Housing Action Plan information to the public; and
  • planning and convening a housing forum for the public and stakeholders.

The RFPs will close on January 28, 2016.
