Interim deputy minister for the Yukon Development Corporation

WHITEHORSE—Greg Komaromi has announced his retirement from the position of deputy minister for the Yukon Development Corporation. George Ross will serve as interim deputy minister for the corporation, in addition to his duties as deputy minister for the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources.

“I would like to thank Mr. Komaromi for his steadfast commitment to serving the people of Yukon and his many years of leadership at the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources and more recently with the Yukon Development Corporation,” Premier Darrell Pasloski said. “His work with the Yukon government has helped the territory move forward on many important resource development initiatives including planning for the next generation hydroelectric project.”

George Ross has been deputy minister of Energy, Mines and Resources since October 2014. Prior to his work with the Yukon government he had more than 30 years of public sector experience, including the role of deputy minister for the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.

The premier wishes Mr. Komaromi all the best in his retirement.
