New deputy minister in the Department of Justice

WHITEHORSE—Premier Darrell Pasloski announced today that Thomas Ullyett will be the new deputy minister of Justice.

“Mr. Ullyett has provided years of leadership within the department,” Premier Pasloski said. “His extensive experience, knowledge and skills will serve him well in this position.”

Ullyett has been the assistant deputy minister of the Legal Services branch with the Department of Justice since 2010. He has been acting deputy minister of the department on multiple occasions. He has been an assistant deputy minister with the Yukon government since 2002.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University as well as a law degree from the University of Ottawa.

Ullyett will assume his position later this month.
