WHITEHORSE— The Government of Yukon and Kluane First Nation are pleased to announce the signing of an Intergovernmental Accord. Chief Math’ieya Alatini and Premier Darrell Pasloski signed the accord July 29 in Whitehorse.
“Signing this accord with Kluane First Nation affirms both governments’ commitment to work together on joint initiatives,” Premier Darrell Pasloski said.
“Kluane First Nation is pleased to be setting priorities with Yukon government,” Chief Alatini said. “The collaboration on these initiatives will be beneficial to the citizens and governments of Kluane First Nation and Yukon.”
“Intergovernmental accords provide a practical way for governments to work on areas of mutual importance and ensure deliverables are met,” Pasloski added.
These shared priorities for the next five years range from joint work on long-term educational planning to closer collaboration on wildlife and habitat management.
