New Economic Development deputy minister named

WHITEHORSE—Premier Darrell Pasloski announced today that Murray Arsenault will be the new deputy minister for the Department of Economic Development.

“Mr. Arsenault brings a significant amount of experience to the position,” Pasloski said. “His career shows his skill and success in business development and strategic management. We are pleased that Yukoners will benefit from his knowledge and background when he takes on his new role as a leader in the Yukon government.”

Arsenault’s career includes extensive experience managing a variety of business ventures in northern Canada. Most recently, Arsenault held the position of general manager of the Dakwakada Development Corporation, which is a private equity firm based in Whitehorse with investments in construction, manufacturing, retail and communications. Prior to that, he worked in economic development in both the public and private sectors in the Northwest Territories.

Arsenault holds a master of business administration degree from Cape Breton University.
