WHITEHORSE—Premier Darrell Pasloski announced today that the speaker will reconvene the Yukon Legislative Assembly on Thursday, October 25 at 1 p.m.
“I am looking forward to a productive legislative sitting,” Pasloski said. “Our government has been in place for almost a year and I am proud of the many accomplishments achieved so far and the progress being made toward our longer term goals. We will be bringing forward a number of key legislative bills during this sitting, as well as tabling the first supplementary budget for 2012-13 and an income tax act amendment to introduce the promised children’s art tax credit.”
Motions will also be tabled and debated in regard to Parks Canada funding cutbacks that are affecting Kluane National Park, the SS Klondike in Whitehorse and Dredge #4 in Dawson City, as well as a motion dealing with safety of children’s recreational equipment.
