Premier to meet with Council of the Federation counterparts

WHITEHORSE—Premier Darrell Pasloski will represent Yukon at the Council of the Federation winter meeting in Victoria January 15 to the 17.

“I look forward to productive meetings with my counterparts to address a number of issues common to Yukoners and all Canadians,” Pasloski said. “I am committed to working to ensure Yukoners continue to receive the same level of services and benefits as those enjoyed by citizens elsewhere in Canada.”

Premiers are meeting to discuss innovation in the health care system and how to ensure future sustainability.

The Council of the Federation comprises all provincial and territorial premiers. The council enables premiers to work collaboratively to strengthen the Canadian federation by enhancing relationships among provinces and territories and with the federal government.
