DAWSON CITY—The Old Territorial Administration Building in historic Dawson City was the setting as Darrell Pasloski was sworn in today as Yukon’s premier by Yukon Commissioner Doug Phillips.
“It is an honour to serve as premier and I look forward to working with a great team and with a professional public service in the coming months,” Pasloski said.
Pasloski was elected leader of the Yukon Party on May 28, succeeding Dennis Fentie who served two consecutive terms as Yukon’s premier. The newly-appointed premier will carry the Finance, Executive Council Office, Yukon Development Corporation and Yukon Energy Corporation portfolios.
“I wish to express my sincere thanks to Dennis Fentie for his excellent stewardship of the territory over the past nine years,” Pasloski added.
