Yukon government congratulates Yukon Hospital Corporation

WHITEHORSE – Yukon government congratulates the Yukon Hospital Corporation on its achievement in placing in Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2011.

The list is compiled by Mediacorp Canada to recognize the country’s best places to work and the organizations that lead their sectors in the attraction and retention of employees.

“Congratulations to the hardworking individuals who make the Yukon Hospital Corporation the success that it is,” Premier Dennis Fentie said. “This government greatly values the contributions from all of the staff, board members, administrators, medical professionals, volunteers, and management.”

The Yukon Hospital Corporation received ratings from very good to exceptional for onsite amenities, vacation allowance, pension plan, and maternity and paternity leave for employees. Training and skills development and employee engagement received above average ratings.

“This national honour acknowledges what we already knew here at home; that the Hospital Corporation and its staff provide outstanding services for Yukoners,” Health and Social Services Minister Glenn Hart said.
