Conference to explore energy solutions for northern climates

WHITEHORSE – Delegates from across Canada's North will gather in Whitehorse to discuss and explore energy solutions for northern buildings at the Yukon Inn February 15 to 19.

The conference will focus on practical and current energy solutions for residential, commercial and institutional structures in the North and provide opportunities to tour Yukon projects demonstrating leading edge energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.

Guest speakers will include professionals from HME Engineering, Natural Resources Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Arctic Energy Alliance, and EnerSys Analytics.

Two public sessions will be offered free of charge on February 16 and 17 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the Yukon Inn’s Fireside Room. Presentation topics will include Building Envelope – Reducing the Heating Demand of Your Home and Heating and Ventilation Options for Northern Homes.
