WHITEHORSE – Premier Dennis Fentie and his cabinet colleagues will soon be visiting all Yukon communities during the upcoming sixth annual community tour.
“I encourage all Yukoners to come out and take part in the community meetings,” Fentie said. “We value your participation and want to hear your ideas and suggestions regarding the delivery of Yukon government programs and services.”
The Fall Community Tour is an opportunity for Yukoners to have their voices heard about issues that are important to them.
“This government continues to work hard to meet our commitments to Yukoners,” Fentie added. “By letting us know what matters to you, we can do an even better job. Your attendance and input will help us better understand what’s important in your community.”
The government’s four key commitments are:
• To achieve a better quality of life for Yukoners;
• To protect and preserve our environment and wildlife;
• To promote a strong, diversified private-sector economy; and
• To practice good governance with strong fiscal management.
The community tour will start Tuesday, August 25 in Whitehorse and continue through the fall.
