Increased Investment for Health Care

WHITEHORSE – Health and Social Services Minister Glenn Hart announced a $20 million increase to health and social programs, subject to legislative approval.

“We will continue to invest in quality and accessible health care and social support programs for those in need,” Hart said. “We know that a sustainable health care system contributes to a better quality of life for Yukoners.”

Improvements to health and social service programs include: the Seniors’ Income Supplement, social assistance package, childcare subsidy, physician costs, specialist visits and out-of territory medical travel.
